Creative Center for the Arts at the Historic Medinah Temple

Tree Studios is a noteworthy feature of the redevelopment of Medinah Center. The Studio Building was built in 1894 with its adjoining Annexes added in 1912 and 1913. The upper levels of the historic building housed working artist studios for many of Chicago's great artists over the past century.

Meticulously restored, it is reintroduced as a shared studios environment concentrating on the arts, artists and related businesses. Most studios have decorative glass elements at their entrances, exceptionally high ceilings and original wood floors. Many have skylights, working gas fireplaces and windows overlooking the hidden courtyard.

There is access to the central courtyard to enjoy the change of seasons in a tranquil garden setting, a variety of upscale restaurants and retail shops and Bloomingdale's Home & Furniture Store within the Medinah Temple building.
